Mumba Nkandu is a Civil Engineer specializing in road construction and currently a Junior Consultant at I.T. Transport. She brings a strong combination of technical expertise and project management skills, holding a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering. Mumba is a Chartered Civil Engineer and a Fellow of the Engineering Institute of Zambia (EIZ), with over four years of experience in road transport projects across various disciplines, including materials testing, culvert construction, and highway asset management.

Mumba has managed live projects in Zambia and contributed to the introduction of a road asset management system in the country. She has also worked on road maintenance projects in several districts, including Lusaka, Zambezi, and Chongwe, under government funding. Additionally, she contributed to the creation of an Integrated Development Plan to aid in district-level budgeting and long-term planning.

Her experience extends to the Lusaka Decongestion Project, where she served as a materials engineer. In this role, she handled material testing for both flyover bridges and roads, as well as asphalt and concrete design and testing. She has also been involved in soil testing and audits across various construction phases.

Mumba’s experience spans the entire lifecycle of project management, from initiation to completion, with a focus on both technical delivery and supervisory responsibilities.
